L’exposition s’inscrit dans un espace nettement délimité, de manière à conserver une lisibilité à l’architecture du hangar existant. Le sol et les cimaises de l’exposition sont faits de tasseaux de bois qui font écho aux nervures du bois de coffrage des voutes béton existantes. L’exposition consiste en une succession de salles, qui bien que toutes différentes, procèdent d’un même motif général. La scénographie évoque un morceau d’histoire, une biographie exemplaire prise dans la grande Histoire, comme une portion d’un pattern qui pourrait se prolonger indéfiniment. Le

visiteur, qui dispose d’une certaine liberté de mouvement, doit pouvoir éprouver le récit de la vie de Franz Stock comme une succession de choix. A chaque grande étape de la vie de Franz Stock, une maquette dissimulée dans l’épaisseur des cimaises permet de camper un contexte et d’offrir un support sensible au visiteur. | The exhibition occupies a spatially defined area, its boundary is clearly delimited so that the space and architecture readability of the existing warehouse is preserved. The wooden floor and partition walls of the exhibition furniture, are made up of wood paneling that echoes the grain of the wooden

formwork of the existing shuttered concrete vaults. The stage set consists in a series of rooms that derive from the same pattern, even though each one is different. The scenography evokes one little piece of history – an exemplary biography taken from the great History, as a part of a pattern that could proliferate indefinitely. Visitors to the museum – that have sufficient freedom of movement – should be able to experience the story of Franz Stock as a succession of choices. With each and every step of Abbot Franz Stock’s life –within every room–, a model dissimulated into the thickness of the wooden wall helps to give both a physical and emotional frame to the story told.
